Bendalls Steel Fabrication

Bendalls engineering started in 1894 in Cumbria as a family business specialising in steel fabrication. It has always been at the forefront of developing technology and in the 1920's manufactured the body panels for Donald Cambell's Bluebird land and water record breaking speed machines.

In the 1950's Bendalls of Carlisle became one of the first fabricators to supply equipment for the Nuclear Industry for Sellafield Site in Cumbria - a relationship that has lasted to this day. In the 1970's Bendalls became involved with the supply of Pressure Equipment to the burgeoning north sea oil and land based petrochem industry and has since become a global player in this field.

In 1996 the business was sold to Carrs Milling Industries plc and became a division of the expanding Carrs Engineering Ltd. In 2003 Bendalls became involved with Marine Current Turbines and manufactured the worlds first large scale tidal current turbine which was installed in the Bristol Channel in 2005.

Through the years bendalls has become a global supplier to the Nuclear, Oil, Gas, Petrochem, Process and Renewable Energy Industries.
