Quality Assurance

• ISO 9001:2000 (Cert. No. LRQ 0910781) applicable to the design, manufacture and testing of pressure vessels, chemical reactor vessels, tanks, columns, hoppers and general fabrications including associated welding controls in accordance with the requirements ISO 3834-2
• ASME 'U' Stamp Cert. No.30324
• CE Mark in accordance with Pressure Equipment Directive

Welders and procedures are AOTC / Lloyds approved to ASME IX and EN 15614 / 287 and BNG approved to NF 0081/6 and SPECTECH requirements. Welding process include SAW, SMAW, FCAW, TIG, MIG and MAG in materials such as Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Monel, Duplex, Hastelloy and Incoloys.

Inspection

Our in house inspection capability includes Radiography, Ultrasonics, MPI and DPI with operators qualified to PCN / SNT Level II. We can also carry out Hydrostatic Testing (700 bar), UT Thickness Measurement, Hardness Testing, Surface Roughness Gauging and 'tight spot' evaluation using Endoscope Instruments.

Manufacturing

Bendalls automated welding includes Electro Slag Strip Cladding with dedicated column, boom and manipulator facility for weld overlay of vessel heads and bodies in 304/316/625 stainless steel. Cladding provides protection against wear & corrosion on vessel internal surfaces operating in aggressive environments.

With almost 5,000m2 of covered manufacturing area, 1000m2 of office accommodation and 2,000m2 of uncovered storage, Bendalls are well equipped to handle large fabrications of up to 50 metres long, 100mm of plate thickness, 5 metres in diameter and up to 100 tonnes in weight.

Our High Bay includes a 70 tonne overhead lift capacity with 10.5 metres to the hook height of each crane.

Equipment includes; manual, semi automatic, column and boom welding plant coupled with plasma arc / oxy programmable profiling systems, manipulators, rotators, overhead and mobile cranes.

Machinery includes; folding, punching, nibbling, swaging, rolling, pressing, turning, milling and drilling, pipe bending.

A DAVI MCB 3060 Hydraulic Plate Rolling Machine gives the following capabilities:-

• Up to 80mm thick Carbon Steel Plate
• Full 3 metres wide sections
• Up to 8.5m diameter
• 70 Tonne Overhead Lift Capability
• Cone Rolling
• Stainless Steel
• Minimum Diameter 825mm
